The iconic American writer would have turned 115 this weekend.

Even so, his legacy still lives on–in Hollywood, in literature, and in English classes around the world.

According to T.S. Eliot, Fitzgerald was the driving inspirational force behind his writing career.

J.D. Salinger once said that he considered himself in many ways Fitzgerald’s successor.

And already today, more than 15 movies have been made based on Fitzgerald’s work, from The Beautiful and the Damned to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to Tender is the Night.
