Discuss: Real Life Velvet Eyeliner?
For a long time, our office obsession was Dior’s couture catwalk makeup.
We wrote a feature about it in the October issue, we tried to copy it in the bathroom; we even got Dior Beaute’s makeup artist Ricky Wilson on the phone to give us a step-by-step.
(For close-ups, check out F&A’s blog)
Now Dior’s made it very easy to copy the look with a new product called “velvet eyes.”
It’s a series of sticky velvet patches you apply (with eyelash glue) directly to your lids.
Some are skinny, some are thick, most are encrusted with little jewels.
Is this the next step in the extreme eyeliner revolution?
Or is it only a good idea in a high-fashion environment?
(Need more info? See the velvet patches at Sephora, where they retail for $59.)
