Amanda Seyfried is making several gutsy decisions in this red carpet photo.

First, the In Time actress is wearing a suit instead of the expected glittery dress.

Second, she’s doing it with a turtleneck and short-shorts, which runs the risk of looking like a Minnie Mouse costume.

And third, she got this outfit at H&M, when the press (and the movie studio) were doubtless expecting her to premiere her new movie, In Time, with some sort of Rachel-Zoe-goes-bananas couture creation.

(Also, it’s a blue / gray / green shiny lagoon color, which can be a little weird.)

But it’s precisely because of these risks that we adore this outfit, which looks fresh, clean, cool, and also quite fun.

It’s also environmentally friendly – this suit is from H&M’s Conscious Collection, which uses fibers made from recycled plastics to create clothes.

(And yes, that means you can buy this outfit at select H&M boutiques  – but good luck looking as great as Amanda in it…)
