It’s been more than 30 years since The Buggles released their 1979 hit “Video Killed the Radio Star,” changing we way we think about music (and old-school MTV, who played the song as their first-ever video!) in a huge way.
So what’s the next?
The internet, of course.
California electro-pop duo The Limousines take on this very issue in their latest cheeky single “Internet Killed the Video Star.”
Set to a background of infectious beats and danceable synths, band members Giovanni Giusti and Eric Victorino (who, fittingly, first stared sending each other music via e-mail) have officially taken irony to a whole new level.
You can catch the twosome in person on tour with The Sounds this fall.
But in meantime, we suggest heading over to their website and checking them out- where else?- online.
