For the most part, getting dressed up gives us a chance to channel our mature, sophisticated selves.
But once in a while, our inner-child comes alive and demands sparkly princess tiaras and pink Mary Jane’s.
Swiss designer Mariel Manuel’s mystical under-the-sea-inspired collection, “Keep Your Eye on the Doughnut,” is a perfect example of the latter.
It’s filled with seaweed-laced gowns, sea creature headpieces, and a big sculptured jacket adorned with a hilarious body-builder print.
It’s kind of like what would happen if Ariel went to Wonderland… in other worlds, dreams do come true!
