premiere: Ohbijou
Ohbijou: the stuff that dreams are made of?
If the band’s newest track is any indication, the answer is a resounding yes.
Originally the solo project of Casey Mecija, this Toronto indie pop group has now fully blossomed into a floaty six-piece with an equally epic sound.
Their genre hop-scotching third album Metal Meets is the kind of record you need to turn up in your headphones to get the full effect; there’s haunting string solos intertwined with lots of atmospheric beats, all topped off with Mecija’s ethereal vocals.
Our advice: forget the world for a second, stick your head in the clouds and listen to the premiere of “Mossy Lungs” below.
