Don’t let the first minute or so of Peggy Sue’s new music video for “Cut My Teeth” fool you.
This U.K. trio seems soft and quiet, leading you in slowly with Rosa Slade and Katy Young’s quietly yearning vocals.
But it’s not long before these musical friends take things up a notch with serious percussion and an explosive sound, and that’s when you realize that Peggy Sue isn’t as sweet as their band name would have you think.
In other words, “Cut My Teeth” is a total sonic rush, a 5-minute wild ride that’s the perfect intro to these dark folk rockers.
They’re about to make a splash stateside with their sophomore album Acrobats and a spring U.S. tour with labelmates First Aid Kit; but for now check out the premiere of their amazing video above.
