Much like a senior watching her little sister on the junior varsity cheerleading team, Lancome is proud and a little bit giggly about its new lip and nail collection, Rouge in Love.

To celebrate, they’re created the Rouge in Love manicure, at left.

To get it, use two colors within the same family (at left, a lilac and a deep violet).

Paint one nail entirely with the “outside” color (that woud be the lilac, in this case), then let it completely dry.

Cut a curve into masking tape (or use a large hole puncher, if you’ve got one), apply tape gently onto nails, and paint the “inside” color (the violet).  Allow it to completely dry with the tape still on.

Very carefully, peel the tape off, and finish with a top coat.
