Design Crush: Eclairee Swimwear
In French, “Éclairée” means “enlightened,” and Kelly Carrington, the designer behind the Éclairée swimwear line, hopes you find her creations just that.
Inspired by Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich’s onscreen wardrobes, the swimsuit line takes its silhouettes (and much of its color palette) from the bodices of classic Hollywood evening gowns, and is a very stylish (and more modest) alternative to a bikini.
Éclairée swimsuits are not cheap – they sell for $320 — $350; by contrast, dresses from the range are $220! But we’re captivated by their elegant, cool look, and we’re sure if you’re one of the girls who only wears 1-2 swimsuits a season – and those suits are the ones that make you feel most comfortable in your skin – these may be fantastic investments.
Your tan lines may be slightly irregular, but honestly, you should be wearing sunscreen anyway…!
