NYLON + Aloft Hotels are launching our first official contest to sign a band. (We call it “Project Aloft Star powered by NYLON.” You can call it “My Big Break.”)

Upload your best original song and get heard by NYLON’s Music Department and Aloft Hotels’ music insiders. We’ll pick five finalists and NYLON readers and music fans will vote for their favorite. The winner gets the chance to sign with NYLON records, a NYLON TV music video, and a featured spot in Aloft Hotels’ Fall Acoustic Tour.

(Yes, this means you will be staying in cool hotels. No, you may not act like Johnny Depp and trash them, because you will be a true rock star, and not Captain Jack Sparrow. Okay?)
