don’t forget the lyrics
We’ve all probably found ourselves singing a pop song without actually paying attention to the lyrics. And sometimes, when you see those lyrics written out… well, hilarity ensues.
Take our current fave lyrics from the Beib’s “Boyfriend” for example…
Swag, swag, on you/chillin’ by the fire while we’re eating fondue…
Which is why this new book from Urban Outfitters has us cackling.
Written (and compiled) by Johnny Sharp, Crap Lyrics is a catalogue of some of the worst words ever put to music, at least according to Sharp…like “Work It” by Missy Elliot and “My Humps” by Black Eyed Peas.
Some things just aren’t meant to be over-analyzed, but we can totally appreciate a little mockery of some really awful lines, so we’re curious to see which other songs made the cut.
