As we all know, Groundhog Day is one of the best comedies ever made. So when we found out that the video for New York singer-songwriter Jeff Litman’s new single “Over and Over” is a shot-by-shot homage to the film, we had to premiere it. Director Emily Branham’s three-minute edit uses key scenes from the Bill Murray classic, which she reshot with Litman playing the glumly sarcastic weather man who’s forced to relive the same day over and over (get it?) until at last he gets it right. Watch the video (and try to deal with the cuteness of the guinea pig playing Punxsutawney Phil), then put Groundhog Day on your Netflix queue! (Extra points for ID-ing the NYLON editor who does “background work” in one scene.)
