Earlier this week, Emma Stone gave us a lesson in “I have nothing to wear but I’m still damned chic” with her denim and Burberry trench look.

Now, today we’ve got another Best Dressed in a Trench award to dole out. And the winner is: Erykah Badu, performing in London clad in a Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons brilliant cape-meets-trench!

We have a hard time believe Erykah has many “nothing to wear” days since she always looks out of this world. Plus, with that hair, anything she puts on will magically turn to statement-wear.

We love the way Erykah reinvigorates the oft-beige (literally and figuratively) staple with a mustard hat atop her “Badula oblongata” (Man in the Yellow Hat inspired perhaps?) and orange skinny trousers on the bottom. Her pale pink lip completes the color-pop trifecta.

While this snap could easily come from a style.com runway gallery, what makes Erykah the ultimate style-star is that even in her loudest ensembles, it never looks like she took a team of stylists to look like the rockstar that she is. Rock on, Erykah!
