On Tape
Depending on your age (and the year of your car), you may have never used a cassette player
And even though pushing play on an iPod is much easier than attempting to rewind miniature spools with a pen, there’s something about a real mixtape that’s undeniably cool/
Enter Pocket, Etc., the Etsy boutique offering wallets made from classic cassette tapes.
Shop owner Bren has polished off a bunch of her old tapes – from Duran Duran’s Arena to Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here – and cut them in half. She lacquers both sides (so the track listing print will always be legible), and assembles a tiny pouch between them. Each of the wallets are lined with funky textiles and fabrics, and can fit up to 15 credit cards.
