best dressed: chloe sevigny has flair

best-dressed-chloe-sevignyWe’re calling this look “Easy, Breezy, Beautiful… Sevigny.”

She gets our Best Dressed vote today because even when she’s off-duty wearing casual denim and a button up shirt, she’s manages to do it like none other.

Bell bottoms and clogs have the ability to go totally awry or totally ’70s in a good way. Chloe has managed to wear both without looking either. The preppy button-up makes the look more Steven Alan than Cleopatra Jones and her cropped bell bottoms (called “flooding” in our day – and grounds for fashion dismissal) make the silhouette more casual and less costume.

And the Miu Miu Noir glasses look arguably better in understated black than the pink/gold/red glitter shades that have been in it-rotation since F/W ’11 (but we’d be happily take em in any color at all).

The swipe of red on the lips is the perfect quick-color to keep the look from swaying too laundry-day casual and the folded newspaper under her arm is just as good as the little black bag. Or get the pop of color and bag in one with Furla’s candy satchels!

If you want Chloe’s jeans, fold under a pair of these Lucky Brand ‘Legends’ – we think that’s exactly what she did. They’re majorly on sale and we are getting a pair ASAP.

Her Miu Miu’s on the other hand are not on sale, but worth saving up for.

As for the clogs, check the back of your Moms closet. You know she’s still holding on to memories of discos past…

    Chloe looks so good!
Skinny jeans need to become uncool again (remember when only the weird uncles wore them not too long ago?)

ChloĆ« Sevigny – here’s a totally random question… does any one else see a resemblance to Carrie Snodgress?
