Today’s Best Dressed is Nicola Roberts headed to a bar in Topshop Unique.

People were quick to dismiss the look as “shapeless” or “unflattering” but we wholeheartedly disagree. Here’s why:

Instead of opting for super tight or overly complicated, she’s literally “dressed best” for a night on the town. It’s more like our real friends and less “paparazzi opp” but her big hoop earrings make it fashionable.

For a night out at bar, this look is perfect. Her khaki dress is as comfy as an oversized boyfriend tee, but with a little more sex appeal thanks to sleek heels and gold accessories.

We’re totally inspired for a Friday night out. And now more likely to have fun since we won’t be tugging our clothes all night. Top it off with a top knot like Nicola’s, and you won’t have to fuss with your hair either.

Unfortunately, we don’t have Nicola’s pop of red hair (jealous!) so we’ll probably sub-out the black quilted bag for a bright red one instead.
