Cole Haan x Jen Brill and Olivia Kim…Our New Favorite Heels?
Next month, Cole Haan launches a capsule collection with downtown It Girls Jen Brill and Olivia Kim.
The duo updated a classic Cole Haan silhouette, but when we saw this sneak peek what stuck out wasn’t just the bright colors (though seriously, who doesn’t love a rainbow heel?), but the philosophy behind them: amazing heels that don’t kill your feet.
Maybe it’s because both actually have jobs; Brill represents famous photographers like Hanna Liden and Richard Kern, while Kim is Opening Ceremony’s VP of Creative. (If you’ve ever walked from the subway to work in six-inch platforms, you know what we’re talking about.)
In their own words:
Brill: “We run around New York City day and night and need shoes that can keep up with us. The styles needed to be the perfect compliment to any situation, any time of day, but with the ‘wow’ factor reaction—like, ‘Wow! Those shoes are awesome!’”
Kim: “They obviously have to be cute, but living in New York City, they also have to be wearable and feel good too. This was really important to us both, and something we knew Cole Haan could make happen.”
They come out September 10–expect to spend the whole night dancing in celebration. Because for once, you’ll actually be able to.
