Go Ahead, Be An Artist

We’re big fans of the Wassaic Project here at NYLON.

In case you didn’t read the feature story about them in the August/September issue of NYLON Guys (which, seriously, you should), a quick rundown: It’s an upstate New York arts organization that runs exhibits and an annual arts festival.

But they also have regular residencies for visual artists, which is cool too. Think about it: You can make your paintings/silkscreen prints/sculptures in a converted animal auction house, with bucolic Wassaic as the setting.

The open call for artists runs through tomorrow, so if you want to submit your work (do it!) start filling out an application now.

PS: That rad artwork in the photo? Features work from Ghost of a Dream, which got its start as a Wassaic Project resident!
