The Face: Marc Jacobs Spring ’13 by NARS

Francois Nars talked to us backstage yesterday (and made us laugh a few times) about the Edie Sedgwick look at Marc Jacobs last night, “We looked at the clothes, which is the most important thing and we came up with a more updated, fresher look than the ’60s look that Edie did for herself. We took out the eyelashes and the heaviness of her look, but kept the essence of it.”

Since his Factory Girl-inspired line of makeup just launched, he didn’t have to search too hard for inspiration. “I feel like I’ve known Edie in a previous life. I know the look very well.” We think he nailed it.—RAY SIEGEL
