Today’s Best Dressed goes to Kate Mara, spotted in a Miu Miu dress and Brian Atwood heels while promoting her upcoming flick 10 Years.

Though it may look pretty simple at first, the actress’ ensemble manages to look both low-key and vibrant- two qualities we’re rarely able to pull of simultaneously.

Here’s a couple pointers to learn from Mara:
1. When adding a bold accessory (i.e. that awesome bib-collar), it’s probably a good idea to skip out on other accessories (notice how Kate’s not wearing a bag or any extra jewelry?)
2. A bright color is never a bad move, and it’ll look a whole lot less “bold” if sticking to a more natural look for face and hair (e.g. maybe a good time to hold off on the neon lipstick)
3. Be confident! If you feel like you can’t pull it off, you’ll look like you can’t pull it off. It’s all a matter of feeling good!
