These fall ’12 kicks from Vans are like a rorschach test.

Over at NYLON Guys, they saw them and immediately thought Givenchy’s “Birds of Paradise” and Herschel’s bird print backpack.

But at NYLON, our very first thought was: Put a bird on it!

Maybe that’s just because we’re in the midst of September–which is when our annual TV issue comes out–but it seems that someone at Vans is a big fan of Portlandia. Which is totally cool, because we are too. And really, what doesn’t look better with a bird on it?!
