Last Night with Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey took the stage for a private performance at The Wooly in New York last night to celebrate H&M’s fall collection. I was obsessed with Lana Del Rey, then I was over her, and now after seeing her perform in person I just want to be her.
I didn’t expect to get the chills, but definitely did when she performed Blue Jeans. Maybe that song reminds me of bad ex-boyfriends or maybe it was the moving violin sequence. Lana then performed the 1950s song “Blue Velvet,” followed by her first hit, “Video Games.” She basically told the crowd, “Duh, I’ll that one for you.”
It makes perfect sense that Lana would rep H&M’s fall “LA Noir” line, since that falls right in line with her own signature style which she has described as “gangsta Nancy Sinatra.” A look that she really has down by the way—she wears those way too long nails with bouffant better than anyone else could. The fall collection is in H&M stores now—I dare you to rock that H&M blazer over majorly side-slitted dress well as Lana did last night.—RAY SIEGEL
