Music Video: Exitmusic
If you know Exitmusic, you know that their music isn’t exactly peppy.
The duo–you may recognize Aleksa Palladino, who also works as an actress, from Boardwalk Empire–go instead for eerie, like a downbeat Crystal Castles with a haunting singer instead of an ear-splitting one.
So their new music video for “The Modern Age”, which comes out today, is just as creepy. Palladino says of the inspiration: “Devon and I spent a few years volunteering at wild life rescue centers and, despite all the best efforts of very knowledgeable and compassionate staff members, sometimes an animal would just die from the shock of being captured. Their bodies would shut down because they knew they were not free. It has always stayed with us. That’s where we got the idea for the video.”
