Like everyone else, Ashley got the lace dress memo. We were kind of on the fence about the floor length Prada one that Lena Dunham wore to the Emmys, but we didn’t have to question Ashley’s teal lace dress by Kain.
Ever since Chloe Sevigny wore a teal lace Proenza Schouler dress to the Met Ball we’ve been obsessed with it, so were psyched to see Ashley resurrecting the trend at the London Hotel Hollywood.
She made the trend look way cooler by wearing it unexpectedly: It’s the combination of the demure neckline, the short hemline and the offbeat color. So the trick is to skip the boring black. (And maybe show a little bit of leg).
