You see trends in band names (Wolf-whatever, the The groups, etc.) but you don’t usually see people put out similar music videos in a short span of time.

So when we watched Bat For Lashes’ new music video for “All Your Gold” today, we couldn’t help but notice similarities between it and Sky Ferreira’s new vid.

Both are black and white. Both feature a solo female singer–with killer pipes, to boot. Both feature said solo singer dancing around. Both feature amazing backgrounds. Both feature form-fitting black dresses. And both feature catchy tracks. But the tracks are very different; one is a ’90s-inflected R&B hit, the other is dark, soulful mysticelectro (yes, we just made that genre up–mystical + electro).

So who does the black and white video best? –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
