The Face: Celine Spring ’13
“It’s about the cleanliness of the hair,” is how Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau described the look at Celine’s spring ’13 show.
I know, I know…clean?! We here at NYLON are partial to partied-all-night, rolled-out-of-bed hair (and, by extension, the dry shampoos that power those looks). Squeaky clean isn’t always our thing.
Yet we found ourselves kind of obsessed with the tresses at Celine. They just looked so effortlessly pretty (like a minimalist white house, where dust and clutter don’t exist). And really, isn’t it kind of punk to go sleek every now and again? It is–if you don’t have to spend hours getting it right.
So here is our three step method for re-creating the Celine spring ’13 hair:
1: At night, apply just a small amount of Redken’s All Soft Argan-6 Multi-Care oil to your hair while it’s still damp, and blow dry with a big, round natural bristle brush.
2: Twist your hair up into a loose bun (you can keep it in place with just a pin) and sleep on it.
3: When you wake up, take out the pin and let the hair down. EASY.
