We love a French import and jewelry designer Annelise Michelson is the perfect example of why brand new European designers are so great—aside from the fact that no one else has it yet.
Michelson is the real deal, having studied fashion and working for contemporary designers like Vanessa Bruno, Paul and Joe and even Hermes. When a stylist suggested she create a few pieces for a French Vogue shoot she realized her love for costume jewelry making and got to work. Like most beautiful handcrafted pieces, it takes her hours to thread leather into chain to create her pieces—she makes everything from statement necklaces and cuffs to the new way to wear earrings (the ear cuff).
