Waste Less!

Levi’s is so smart: They’ve invented planet-saving denim!
Levi’s new denim line, Waste<Less, came out today—and you’re not going to believe what they’re made of. Well, yeah jeans are made out of denim, but these pairs are each made from at least 20 percent post-consumer recycled content. In layman’s terms, that’s eight 12-20 ounce bottles per jean. So if it makes you feel any better, those water bottles are being put to good use.
James Curleigh, the president of Levi’s put it nicely. “This collection proves that you don’t have to sacrifice quality, comfort or style to give an end a new beginning. We don’t just want to reduce our impact on the environment, we want to leave it better than we found it.”
Waste<Less will come in all of our favorite jean styles—even jean jackets—come Spring ’13. Paying less feels good, but doesn’t it feel even better to waste less?—RAY SIEGEL
