By the time you’re done reading this post about Mariah Carey partnering OPI on her own line of nail polish, you’ll probably get one of her songs stuck in your head.
You’d think Mariah’s nail polish line would offer mostly glitter given the title of the star’s past film. But like everything else happening right now, it’s all about Sandy. To honor Mariah’s affiliation with the brand, OPI is launching a never-before-seen nail concept called “Liquid Sand.” Like it sounds, it’s a pebbled, matte finish with tiny glitter particles that’s ideal for lazy manicurists because it’s meant to be worn without a top coat.
Sandy nails; what a strange coincidence. Which Mariah song is stuck in your head right now? “I need you so desperately. Take me up. Take me down. Take me anywhere you want to baby now.” Thanks to OPI, I’ll be singing “Dreamlover” to myself for days.—RAY SIEGEL
