Sandy isn’t stopping Sky Ferreira—her new Grant Singer directed video for “Sad Dream” just today and we’ve got a first listen.
A far cry from Ferreira’s last few electro-pop beats, this dreamy track is more akin to a slow country western song and shows her softer side. She drew inspiration for her video from American filmmaker, Terrence Malick, whose most recent movie Tree of Life was as artistically directed. The song is a strong contender too—I’m embarrassed to say how many times I’ve listened to it, but I will say, Sky Ferreira has proven herself. She’s pretty great at making hits and there isn’t one outfit she wears throughout this video that I wouldn’t mind throwing on myself before hitting the dirt road.
