From pretty much the first moment the advance press copy of Tame Impala’s new album, Lonerism, landed on our desk, it’s been an office staple.
It’s trippy without feeling retro, lo-fi fuzzy without sounding fake, and catchy without becoming a little too accessible (ie like a Phoenix album that you can expect to hear on every single commercial that’s slated for 2013).
The new music video for “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” only emphasizes this point. It’s psychedelic-meets-arts and crafts, and has us wishing we had a stash of Fimo clay to play with at home. You can watch the entire video over on NYLON Guys right now. Go! –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
