They talk about some serious stuff…like this gem from Jack Antonoff:
“We grew up in the ’90s, when it was really cool to care. We had people like Eddie Vedder who had an opinion on politics and issues, and that kind of died at some point when we got into music, when indie rock and apathy took over…we’re trying to make it cool again to care, and not just to get up onstage like, “Oh, we don’t know how we got up here! We were just in a garage one day making music.” We want to own the fact that we have a big audience and own the fact that we can start conversations.”
