What’s there to say about Jennifer Herrema, other than that she is awesome?

We have her to thank for Royal Trux–not to mention the skinny jeans/Chelsea boot/straight hair with bangs look more recently popularized by Alison Mosshart. And here she is, 20 years later, still jamming. Her new band, Black Bananas, put out their debut Rad Times Express IV in early 2012, but we’re reminded of just how much we liked it with the release of the music video for the track “It’s Cool.” Truer words have never been spoken. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS

    Alison Mosshart is a Euro “Horrors” JH style wannabe. JH Euro goth X-factor style. Alison Mosshart popularized nothing. Kate Moss, Jack White, and a shit ton of money behind her bought her “popular” status. JH is only 5 years older than Mosshart and has recorded 15 more albums and influenced generations not Jack White Tweens. Jennifer Herrema rules like no other could ever. Not to insult Mosshart but honestly she is a lucky lady to be included in the same sentence as JH.
