If you were invited to a Victoria’s Secret event, what would you wear?
I faced that question just the other week, when I attended the taping of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. I went with a lace-leopard print mini-dress, but model (and regular Best Dressed staple) Jessica Hart went in an entirely different direction.
To celebrate the opening of a new Pink store, the runway walker showed up in what we like to think of as party casual: white jeans, the oversize Pink yoga crew top , and a pair of hidden-wedge sneakers. It’s just low-key enough that she totally fits in to her surroundings (which would be a store filled with bras and undies) while also feeling effortlessly cool.
It gives us a reason to believe that the wedge sneaker will have a longer shelf-life than just a few months…for the lift literally and figuratively it gives an outfit, alone. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
