Manicurious: Triangle Tips

triangle tips

Kicking off our daily Manicurious competition, check out this super mod, two-tone triangle design by Holly from Brisbane, Australia!

Here’s how she did it:

“First apply one coat of the Kit Cosmetics Nail Polish ‘Pixie Dust’ and let it dry. It dries so quickly (one minute approximately) and I find it does not really need a second coat as the color is opaque enough.

Then once it’s dry, using magic tape*, cut out little equilateral or isosceles triangles (depending on the size of the nail area and how sharp you want the top point to be).

Place the triangle shaped sticky tape pieces onto the bottom halves of each nail, then apply one coat of the Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish “060 Hot & Spicy” over the top of the tape. Carefully remove the sticky tape from your fingernails and discard. Once dry, finish off the look with a top coat of a clear nail polish and you’re good to go.

* Magic tape can be found in art and craft stores. It prevents from getting the first layer of nail polish ripped off when removing the tape.

Thanks, Holly!!
