The number one rule when wearing a floor length gown: Make it your own.

Exhibit A: Lily Collins, spotted last night at the 2012 British Fashion Awards in London wearing a jaw-dropping black gown by Mulberry.

Though the dress itself is gorgeous on its own, we love how the young starlet personalized the look with an awesome gold ear cuff, a semi-Gothic plum lip, and a messy, unbrushed hairdo.

She looks comfortable and chic, with a subtle dash of rock ‘n’ roll. Well done, Collins. — ALI HOFFMAN
