Girls Who Like Boys: Be Careless
In my mind, Beach Fossils really don’t require much of an introduction; after all, this is the Brooklyn band that released one of the best albums of 2010 with their self-titled debut.
But maybe you’re not familiar with the musical stylings of Dustin Payseur & Co., so here’s what you need to know: The band plays the sort of indie guitar-pop that you want to have playing on repeat while you’re sitting at the beach…or at least, when you want to feel like you’re sitting on the beach. (If you need a primer, just give Beach Fossils’ “Daydream” a listen.)
And now, they’re putting out their sophomore album, Clash the Truth, through Captured Tracks on February 19. The first track off of it, “Careless,” is a little more hopped up, but that hasn’t stopped me from listening to it on repeat.
