It may sound cliche, but there really is something about living in New York City and adopting an all-black look. Even in the NYLON office–where we have a neon pink sign greeting visitors–there’s a whole lot of slate, charcoal, and raven happening here.
So consider the outfit Olivia Wilde wore to the premiere of Django Unchained the antidote to head-to-toe black. On the surface, it looks like the born-and-raised New Yorker has forgone any color at all (even her nails are painted dark). But look down, past the low-cut top and skinny jeans and you’ll see a pair of cobalt pumps brightening up the otherwise severe outfit.
