It’s been a quiet year for Wavves–mostly because there have been no onstage breakdowns, blog brawls, or Target-sponsored holiday songs in the past 12 months.

But that doesn’t mean the SoCal band hasn’t been busy–they’ve been working on their next album (slated to come out spring 2013). The first track off of it is “Sail to the Sun”, which Nathan & Co. released at 12:12 pm today and is the same ol’ ’90s punk we’ve come to know and love.

We think you will, too–check out the music video, directed by BLACK // DOCTOR (aka Chris Black and Misterdoctor). And then listen to “Got Something For You,” his Christmas collab with Best Coast, because ’tis the season (and we kinda love it). –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
