News Flash: It’s Golden Globe Nomination Day!

It’s that time of year–no, not where you hear “Santa Baby” everywhere you go, but where every day brings another round of movie award show nominations.

Hot on the heels of the Screen Actors Guild announcement yesterday, we got the Golden Globe nominations announced this AM. If you decided to sleep through it, here’s what you need to know:

1) Lincoln is the big dog–it leads the pack with seven nominations (though Argo, Django Unchained, Les Miserables, and Silver Linings Playbook all did well, too).

2) NYLON faves did pretty well. NYLON Guys cover stars Jack Black and Ewan McGregor both nabbed Best Actor nods (musical or comedy, natch), while NYLON mainstays Girls, Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad, and Homeland all did well in their respective TV categories.

3) Moonrise Kingdom? It got a Best Picture, Musical or Comedy nomination…but that’s all. We’re kind of bummed for Wes Anderson–along with NYLON cover star Jason Schwartzman–but we’ll always have this interview.

Here’s the complete list of nominees–who do you want to win? –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS

The Walking Dead deserves to be nominated, it pulls in huge numbers and excellent reviews! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised though, horror always gets snubbed.
