About That Carrie Remake….

When we posted the trailer to the Carrie remake, featuring Chloe  Grace Moretz as the horror film’s namesake, a lot of you readers freaked out–in a good way.

And for obvious reasons: Take one of the most seminal scary movies of all time, add in a Hollywood It Girl, and you’ve got a big hit on your hands.

But if you want to see that sure-to-be big hit, you’re going to have to wait–it was just announced that the film’s release is being pushed back from this March to October. That’s seven months, people! Not that we don’t get it; after all, wouldn’t you rather see a high school girl get revenge on her nasty classmates around the time when things generally get spooky? And if you don’t think you can handle it: Just rent the original. Duh. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS

I think they’re doing it to put some space between it and the tragedy in Newtown, CN, plus it’d be better received as a Halloween release.

october is a good time to release a scary movie plus its when school has recently started up. They only filmed it this past summer in Toronto so im not surprised by the delay. Still excited to see it :D
