We Only Have Googly Eyes For Lady Edith
We’re still getting over all the excitement that happened on last night’s season premiere of Downton Abbey.
From (spoiler alert!)….
Lady Mary’s wedding to the arrival of their American grandmama to Thomas and O’Brien going to head-to-head, there was lots to take in. Seriously: An American TV series would turn last night’s episode into an entire season’s plot arc.
But our favorite moment just might have been how persisten Lady Edith was in her pursuit of Sir Anthony. Girl will not take no for an answer! And she finally finds some happiness, which is nice because it’s Lady Edith who is often the butt of jokes, from that Jimmy Fallon spoof to our casting of the Downton Abbey American spin-off.
That doesn’t mean, however, that we’re gonna stop finding Lady Edith kind of funny. Because we saw this site, called EdithWithGooglyEyes.Tumblr.com, and we can’t. stop. laughing. But we promise to hold our giggles as Lady Edith says her “I dos,” on next Sunday’s episode. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
