This Free People Catalog Makes Me Miss My Bike

The reality of living in New York City is that, for a big chunk of the year, your apartment becomes home not just to you, but to your home. Between the cold and certain, ahem, security issues, the best place to store it is inside–which is a bummer if you’re anything like us and are kind of obsessed with your two-wheeler. (I named my baby blue single-gear rider Hugo. Just because.)
So we instantly perked up when we saw Free People‘s January catalog. Shot in Amsterdam by awesome photographer (and NYLON regular) Guy Aroch, the lookbook features page after page of cute models circling the European city in bikes. Even better? Free People will begin stocking limited edition, artisan-made riding accessories, such as painted bike seats, crochet skirt guards, and embossed handlebar grips.

And while we might not be able to fully take advantage of them until March, at the very least they’ll make our in-home bike installation look a whole lot nicer. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
