Bloc Party and IO Echo are touring right now–which might have had a few heads scratched in confusion. Don’t get us wrong, we love both bands (and if you’re not on the IO Echo bandwagon, then you need to read our Band Crush with them stat); it’s just that they seem like very different bands.

How would the Brit indie band and the so-called neo-Orientalism electro group sound together?

Well, here’s a hint:

IO Echo remixed Bloc Party’s “Truth”, and made it completely their own. Gone are the twitchy guitars and dance floor dominating drum beat, replaced by drawn-out echos and Ioanna Gika’s dulcet vocals; it’s as if Kele Okereke downed a bottle of cough syrup, jumped in a lake, and recorded “Truth” underwater.
