Last night’s GH Bass and A Byrne Notice dinner was held at The Cleveland in NYC and celebrated nothing else but the calm before the New York Fashion Week storm. All of our friends were there looking cute, but we couldn’t be more in love with designer Rachel Antonoff’s outfit—from the full head of braids right down to the floral creepers. Antonoff’s quirky style has made her a longtime friend of NYLON. Fun fact (pun intended): her brother Jack Antonoff, who is the guitarist in the band Fun., did a hilarious guide to New Jersey for us earlier in the year.
Jack isn’t the only fun sibling in the family though—Rachel rocked print on print on print with ease. Since we thought you might be as jealous of this look as we are, we found out where you can purchase her entire outfit online: her Rachel Antonoff x Bass Creepers are available at Solestruck.com (I have the same pair—very comfortable), the safari print Peter Jensen jacket is miraculously still available. Her Rachel Antonoff blouse —named after Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat— is done in the same print that’s on her creepers. And even if your hair isn’t done in corn rows we still give you license to complete the look with a classic red bandana.
Other highlights from the dinner included, Teen Vogue editor Andrew Bevan agreeing to be my date to the prom this year, Atlanta de Cadenet cracking jokes, and the cod was delicious.—RAY SIEGEL
