Best Dressed: Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen
We generally steer clear of all-white outfits because a) we like our spaghetti but eat like slobs, and b) it easily veers into the bridal zone and, quite frankly, that’s so not our thing.
But then we saw Rooney Mara at the New York City premiere for her new movie, Side Effects (whose trailer has thoroughly terrified our web editor Ali), and ever since we’ve daydreaming about whitewashing our wardrobe. Of course, anything looks good if it’s Alexander McQueen–especially since we’re so used to seeing Rooney all Dragon Tattoo’d out–but it would work off the red carpet, too. The key is in the skirt; go with something a bit shorter (and pair it with some oxfords instead of nude sky-high heels) and suddenly it’s a little less formal.
