The Face: Jeremy Scott
We were actually freaking out about the makeup at Jeremy Scott’s fall show today because it was inspired by our favorite hit ’80s cartoon series Jem and The Holograms. (If you have no idea who Jem is we highly suggest familiarizing yourself with the most fashionable cartoon to ever air on TV’sHub TV).
The graphic eyeliner at the show takes us way back to the Saturday mornings of our childhood—which were all about Jem marathons and Lucky Charms. The look is almost an exact replica of Jem’s rival band called “The Misfits.” They were always causing a ruckus, but not nearly as much as the Jeremy Scott show does at New York Fashion Week. There’s more show crashers, more street style photographers, and more people in crazy prints than at any other show we’ve been to. And to add to the chaos, Karlie Kloss was at the entrance today handing out cookies. As Jem would say, “Showtime, Synergy.”—RAY SIEGEL
