Good Idea or Bad Idea: Ballet Slippers

Clover Canyon’s winter wonderland/Russian ballet themed fall ’13 presentation was literally on point. Models wore these awesome jeweled pointe shoes, and there was our weekend DIY project practically spelled out for us. Sure, we love any excuse to whip out our Swarovski Elements bedazzling supplies, we think they’re onto something with trying to pass off these OG ballet flats as actual shoes.

Designer Rozae Nichols also offered jeweled heels for those who wouldn’t take their dance footwear to the street. But where do you stand? For the record, we stand on pointe.—RAY SIEGEL

I don’t know, I’ve never been in Ballet, but one of my closest friend’s was. The shoes are very uncomfortable, but practical. I mean there’s a “point” in the design of the shoe, and altering it for the sake of fashion….? go bedazzle your purse. leave the shoes alone.

    Just my opinion.
