Not a single all black look was show at Kaelen’s fall ’13 show–there were amazing bursts of purple and berry amongst the neutrals–but according to our mani cam, “all black everything” was taken to the next level here. The nails were painted with Butter London’s Union Jack Black polish and topped with the Matte Finish Top Coat. Then a swipe of the P.D. Wuick Top Coat for a glossy black tip.  ”The look was inspired by the idea of a uniform, the cool girls and cliques (a la The Craft),” says Katie Hughes, Butter London’s global color ambassador, “Kaelen wanted to elevate the uniform to sophisticated, cleaned-up grunge designs.”

If there’s any mani we can see ourselves replicating post fashion week, it’ll be this one (we’re on a nail art break). That said, we thought her collection was equally wearable. Beanies, bombers, and lavendar leather–it’s everthing we want to wear right now and always.—RAY SIEGEL
