Style Showdown: Crop Stars!
Back in September we called the crop top one of the big trends for spring ’13–in large part because Marc Jacobs showed them, and generally what he says goes.
But we weren’t quite sure what type of girl would embrace the body-con, tummy-bearing style (besides, you know, ourselves). We found our answer at last night’s Marc Jacobs fall ’13 show: Both Christina Ricci and Miley Cyrus showed up wearing a crop.
While they do have a few things in common–both found fame at a young age–their styles are very much their own. On the left we’ve got the singer, who in perhaps a wink (or nod?) to her past went with a Mickey Mouse-emblazoned top, while on the right the actress went for an understated, sporty version.
Both paired it with a mid-length skirt and a black-and-white purse. Both kept the makeup simple and sleek. But who rocked the crop better? Sound off below–and let us know whether you’re down with the crop for spring. –REBECCA WILLA DAVIS

It’s definitely a hard one, but I’m going to have to pick….Christina Ricci. The curve of her waist just goes better with a crop, while Miley looks less feminine (she has a banging body though) ! I think if she was going to do this look over again, she should have paired the crop top with black and white, vertical-striped, high-waisted skinnies instead. Ricci just looks classic and still out-did the youngin’. Miley’s trying too hard to be a hipster these days.

I like miley’s better. It’s a little cliche but she rocks it and Christina just looks a bit boring in comparison

If only Christina Ricci didn’t wear a white bra! Otherwise her outfit is amazing!
